about Andee

As a dog trainer who is dedicated to positive and effective training solutions, I am also equally committed to furthering my education so I will be able to offer the best possible training options.

The professional field of dog training has made quantum leaps since I began dog training 30 years ago, and I am thrilled to be a part of that evolution!

In addition to maintaining my dog training credentials, I completed a two year certification program in Tellington Touch, referred to as T-Touch* in 1996. This work has significantly shaped my philosophy of how I work with both dogs and people. T-Touch* is a way to relate to our animal companions that is respectful and compassionate, and uses clear communication to create a rapport based upon trust and kindness.

In 2005 I became a Certified Professional Dog Trainer via the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers. I attend national conferences, seminars, and stay current with books, professional journals and whatever I come upon that relates to dogs, their training, health and well-being. This keeps me up-to-date on research and training methods.

As an advocate for canine wellness, I was pleased to be invited to teach dog training classes at The Raw Connection when it opened in April, 2006. The store’s approach to pet health and well-being matches my philosophy of what is best for our dogs.

My canine companions are a four year old Doberman, and a Rat Terrier mix. Lexi, my Dobie, competes in Rally Obedience, and is in training for agility. Journey, my three year old rescue, is also learning agility and loves to do tricks. Both dogs are a daily inspiration. I am grateful to be sharing my life with their loveable, smart, sweet and loyal selves!
